Sporting & Recreational Opportunities
The Champion Lakes Boating Club was launched in April 2008 to provide an opportunity for enthusiasts to join a local club to take part in watersport and social activities at the facility.
CLBC now has over 150 members participating in Rowing, Kayaking, Dragon Boating and Radio Controlled Sailing activities representing the club at all levels of these sports
'Friends of Champion Lakes' is a group within the club for those members of the community looking for a pathway to participate in activities at this world-class venue.
'Friends of Champion Lakes' can potentially be a walking group, be involved in maintaining the environment, provide assistance to sport associations during major events or just be a central point of social interaction.
There are approximately 11kms of sealed pathways within the venue for pedestrian and cycle use.
Distance around the entire perimeter of Champion Lakes on the Event Path is 5 kms
Distance between the Pedestrian and Traffic Bridge around the perimeter of the Warm Up Lake on the Event and Pedestrian Paths is 1.8 kms
